Pinned - work in progress

Hey all,

Sorry for the long absence :) It's been a crazy hectic month.
   I will post some of the illustrations I've been working on soon. But I have to wait for the books to come out.

In the meantime you can have a look at this little "work in progress".

This isn't a commisioned piece, which is one of the reasons I took the liberty of changing the image completely from early sketch to later sketch :)
   It went from being the head of a dragon pinning down a warrior, to something ... ehhh ... completely differently.

Comic project

Hi,

Here's some sketches from a little comic book project I'm working on with Lars Horneman and Lars Gabel.

Its something we do when we can spare the time, so I don't know how far we'll be able to take it.

But let's hope we can make something of it :)

Pin-Up

Hi,

I'm gonna throw a little pin-up your way.

Not much of a story to this one. It started out as an image of the main character from the Playstation 3 game "Bayonetta".
   But at the end I kinda just wanted to finish the image and move on to something new, so I abandoned the idea of doing some fanart and settled for tidying up the loose ends. The final result ended up looking more like someone from "Tron" though :)

(Oh, by the way. I know her right arm is out of proportion, but sometimes you just have to walk away from the drawing and say "There. That's all I have time for. Maybe the next one will be better").

Here's a little work in progress. It's one of those things you draw to wind down after work. Haven't really draw cars much, but I'm beginning to appreciate the different designs and lines.

Warrior monk dude

Hi all,

Here's a picture I did last summer.

The perspective is a bit off. I should have fixed it before starting the "painting" stage, but I didn't. And that came back to haunt me :)
   Let's hope I remember it next time; always have a well worked out drawing before going any further.

After having seen too much anime, I felt like drawing something with big fluffy gloves :)

To be loose or not to be loose.

Here's another sketch.

As you can see I've just done the ink directly on top of the pencil. (You can just make out the yellow pencil underneath).

   And keeping the inking relatively loose keeps the piece alive.

It is something I hope to do more with my illustrations in the future, and not work the lines to death.

In other words. I need to loosen up :)

The Iron Bitch

Here's an illustration I did for a company that works with scrap iron.

They call themselves "Jernkaellingen", which translates to something like "The iron bitch".

It was fun to work on, and they were really nice to work with :)
